Lacking Leadership

August 24th, 2010 by admin

Leadership is something that’s extremely lacking in my company. A good-sized company, nearly 5000 employees. You’d think that with the board of directors would really try to hire a CEO with leadership skills. But a fella happens. Instead of getting someone with good leadership skills they get someone who recently been a middle manager all his life and all he knows how to do is try to coerce people into doing his bidding. That’s not leadership and I think the board would recognize this. Unfortunately they don’t seem to. I guess it’s possible that that’s what they consider leadership in their own companies so this seems like a pretty good idea to them.
