May 16th, 2009 by admin

You must have heard ‘ooooh la la, that’s sooo Italian’ being said about Italian fashion, men or women. There must be something about Italy and all things Italian that drives people to learn the language. You may be planning a trip to Italy, drawn by a love for things Italian, or planning to do business out there. Or, maybe just for personal reasons, you would love to learn the language.

In the past you’d have to attend schooling of some sort, either through day-time classes at a college or university or in “night school” at the local community college. College students taking these classes are certainly not inconvenienced seeing as their sole purpose is to attend class. However, those of us who work for a living, who raise and care for families, undoubtedly find night school both inconvenient and taxing.

Italian is a dynamic, living language, the language of Dante just as much as it is the language of the Godfather. Learning it will give you a window on not only a beautiful country (which you may sometime want to visit), but on a wonderful culture made up of vibrant people. As you discover how to learn Italian, you’ll find you’ve opened the door to a whole new world.
